There are those in the
world, who would try to confuse Christians, telling them that there are
inconsistencies in the Bible and then label inconsistencies as lies. Then, they
say that since there are lies in the Bible, it disproves that Jesus Christ Is
the Son of God. Is that really true?
In reading the Bible 16+
times, I felt led to do research as I read the Bible on a daily basis about
particular subjects and I would note all the Biblical proof I could find on a
particular topic. Doing this research had the potential to either prove or
disprove any religious question I might have. I’m pleased to share this
extensive research which more than proves that Jesus is God’s Son through all
the documented predictions that are fulfilled through Jesus in the New Testament,
so you could make up your own mind! You can also read this proof on the blog I
felt led to create called How to
Know Jesus Is God’s Son at https://JesusIsSonOfGod.blogspot.com.
For those who might like to
read the actual research on one of the sites I’ve listed, I am making the Old Testament Predictions are in Blue and the New Testament Fulfillment is in Green. Main topics are in Orange and Subtopics are in Purple. The Words Jesus said are in
Red. Sometimes both he and him
will be used within the same Bible verse, so I will note who is speaking and
who is being spoken to within brackets for clarity. Additionally, any analysis
I might add will be within brackets, as well.
Predictions
of Jesus’ birth and lineage:
Predicting that Jesus, the
Son of God, Will Be Born Out of Jesse's Lineage and Will Seek Equity for
the Poor
There shall come forth a rod out of the stem of
Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the Lord
shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of
counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; And
shall make Him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and He shall not
judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His
ears: But with righteousness shall He judge the poor, and reprove with equity
for the meek of the earth: and He shall smite the earth with the rod of His
mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall he slay the wicked. Isaiah 11:1-5
New Testament Proof Prediction was fulfilled: It came to pass
in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by
John in the Jordan. And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the
heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove. Then a voice
came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark 1:9-11
Isaiah
Predicts That God's Son, Jesus, Will Be from the Lineage of Jesse, David's
Family
And in
that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the
people; so it shall the Gentiles
seek: and his rest shall be glorious. Isaiah 11:10
New Testament Proof from the Apostle Paul in Romans
that it was fulfilled: And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of
Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him [Jesus] the
Gentiles shall hope.” Now may the God of hope fill you with all the joy and
peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:12-13
Indeed He says, ‘It is too
small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob,
And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light
to the Gentiles, That You should be My Salvation to the ends of the earth.’
“Thus says the Lord, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, to Him whom man
despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: Kings shall
see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the Lord who is faithful,
The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You.” Isaiah 49:6-7
The New Testament fulfillment
of this prophecy: That
was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was
in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know
Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as
received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who
believe in His name: John 1:9-12
This is Predicting Jesus,
the Star Out of Jacob, Who Will Save the Israelites
I shall see Him, but not now: I shall behold Him, but
not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of
Israel, and shall smite the
corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. Numbers 24:17
New Testament Proof Prediction was fulfilled in
Matthew 2: 1-2: Now
after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He Who
has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have
come to worship Him.”
“I will raise up for them a Prophet like you
from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and he shall
speak to them all that I command Him. ‘And it shall be that whoever will not
hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. Deuteronomy 18: 18-19
Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He,
and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these
things. John 8:28
Prediction in Jeremiah of
Jesus, the Righteous Branch of David
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will
raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and
shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In His days Judah shall be
saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His name whereby He shall
be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Jeremiah 23:5-6
New Testament Proof of fulfillment of the prediction:
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption-that, as it is written, “He
who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
A Prediction in Jeremiah
that Jesus of David's Lineage Will Execute Judgment and Righteousness in the
Land
In those days, and at that
time, will I cause the Branch of Righteousness to grow up unto David; and He
shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem
shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The
Lord Our Righteousness. Jeremiah 33:15-16
New Testament Proof
Prediction was fulfilled: So all the generations from Abraham to David
are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon until the
Christ are fourteen generations. Matthew 1:17
Prediction in Daniel About
Jesus, the Messiah
Know therefore and
understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build
Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and
sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in
troublesome times. And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but
not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the
city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end
of the war desolations are determined. Daniel 9:25-26
New Testament Proof of Prediction
being fulfilled: One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was
Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said
unto him, “We have found the Messiah: (which is translated, the Christ).
John 1:40-41
God Letting David Know
Something He Will Say to His Only Begotten Son, Jesus
I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto
Me, Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee. Psalm 2:7
New Testament Proof this prediction was fulfilled: God hath fulfilled the same unto us their
children, in that He hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the
second Psalm, Thou art My Son, this day, have I begotten Thee. Acts 13:33
God
tells Isaiah and Others that Jesus Will be the Light of the Gentiles and Will
Heal the Blind:
O Lord, our Lord, how
excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the
heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have ordained
strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the
avenger. Psalm 8:1-2
New Testament proof the
prediction has been fulfilled: Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed
them. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He
did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son
of David!” they were indignant and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are
saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes, Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of baes and nursing
infants You have perfected praise’?” Matthew 21:14-16
Say to those who are
fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with
vengeance, With the recompense of God; he will come and save you.” Then the
eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For
waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. Isaiah 35:4-6
The New Testament fulfillment of this prediction: And when John [the Baptist] had heard in prison about
the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him [Jesus], “Are
You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see; “The blind see
and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are
raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. “And blessed is he who
is not offended because of Me.” Matthew 11: 2-6
Thus saith God the Lord, He that created the heavens,
and stretched them out; He that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh
out of it; He that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them
that walk therein: I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will
hold Thine hand, and will keep Thee, and give Thee for a covenant of the
people, for a Light of the Gentiles: To open the blind eyes, to bring out the
prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison
house. I am the Lord: that Is My name: and My glory will I not give to another,
neither My praise to graven images. Isaiah 42:5-8
New Testament Proof
Prediction is fulfilled: [Jesus reads this from the Bible:] “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has
anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the
blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year
of the Lord.”
Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the
attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were
fixed on Him. And He [Jesus] began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:17-21

Jesus’ Birth predictions:
Predicting a Virgin will
Bear the Son of God
Therefore the Lord
Himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall He eat, that He
may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall
know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest
shall be forsaken of both her kings. Isaiah 7:14-16
New Testament Proof of
Prediction fulfilled: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary
was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of
the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting
to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he
thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in
a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary
your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. ''and she
will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His
people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken by the Lord throught the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin
shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which
is translated, “God with us.” Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the
angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her
till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus. Matthew 1:18-25

of the isles Will bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts.
Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him: All nations shall serve Him. For He will deliver
the needy when He cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper. He
will spare the poor and the needy, and will save the souls of the needy. Psalm 72:10-13
New Testament Proof
Prediction fulfilled: Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from
them what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go
and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring
back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” When they heard the
king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the east
went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When
they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had
come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell
down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they
presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Then, being divinely
warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their
own country another way. Matthew 2: 7-12
Predicting that Jesus Will
Be Born in Bethlehem

Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you
shall come forth unto Me The One to be ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have
been from of old, From everlasting.” Therefore He shall give them up, Until the
time that she who is in labor has given birth; Then the remnant of His brethren
Shall return to the children of Israel. And He shall stand and feed His flock
In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God;
And they shall abide, For now He shall be great To the ends of the earth. Micah 5:2-4
New Testament Proof of this Prediction being fulfilled: Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea
in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to
Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have
seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 12:1-2
The people who walked in
darkness have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of
death, Upon them a light has shined. You have multiplied the nation And
increased its joy; They
rejoice before You According to the joy of harvest, As men rejoice when they
divide the spoil. Isaiah 9:2-3
New Testament proof of this
prediction being fulfilled: And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this
man was just and devout; waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy
Spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that
he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So he came by
the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to
do for Him according to the custom of the law, he [Simeon] took Him [Jesus]
up in his arms and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your
servant depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your
salvation Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to
bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke2:25-32

prophets, wrote-Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1:45 [Note: This is the New Testament reference for
Zechariah 6:12, although it doesn’t use the exact name ‘The Branch’, which is

Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men
hate you, and when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as
evil, For the Son of Man’s sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For
indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did
to the prophets. Luke

Jesus Comforts the Brokenhearted, Meek & Captive
The Spirit of the Lord God
is upon Me; because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the
meek; He hath sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound: To proclaim the
acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort
all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them
beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the
spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the
planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3
New Testament Proof the Prediction was fulfilled: And seeing the multitudes, [Jesus] went up into a

for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for
they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute

and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted
they the prophets which were before you.” Matthew 5: 1-12

And gently lead those who are with young. Isaiah 40:10-11

The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. “But a hireling, he who is
not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and
leaves the sheep and flees: and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
“The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. “As
the Father knows Me, even so I know the father; and I lay down My life for the
sheep. “And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I
must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one
shepherd. “Therefore My Father loves Me because I lay down My life that I may
take it again. “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have
received from My Father.” John 10:11-18
The Lord kills and makes
alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The Lord makes poor and
makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And
lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make
them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the
Lord’s, And He has set the world upon them. 1 Samuel 2:7-8

Prediction about Jesus in
Isaiah
Behold My servant whom I
uphold; Mine elect, in Whom My soul delighteth; I have put My spirit upon Him:
He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up,
nor cause His voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not

unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in
the earth: and the isles shall wait for His law. Isaiah 42:1-4
New Testament Proof of the Prediction being fulfilled:
Behold My servant, whom I
have chosen; My beloved, in whom My soul is well pleased: I will put My Spirit

shall he not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench, till he send forth
judgment unto victory. And in His name shall the Gentiles trust. Matthew 12:18-21

Predictions of John the
Baptist:
Predicts John the Baptist
Comes Before Jesus to Tells Others to Prepare for Jesus
The voice of him that crieth in the
wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord [Jesus], make straight in the
desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every
mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight,
and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken
it. Isaiah 40:3-5
New Testament Proof the Prediction is fulfilled in
John 1:31-34 “I did not know Him;
but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with
water.” And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from
heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. “I did not know Him, but He who
sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit
descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy
Spirit.’ “And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
Prediction that John the
Baptist, Will be Sent to Prepare the Way for Jesus
Behold, I will send My
messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: and the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even
the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold He shall come, saith
the Lord of Hosts. Malachi 3:1
New Testament Proof the
Prediction was fulfilled: I indeed baptize you with the water unto repentance: but He that
cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall
baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in His hand,
and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner;
but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. Matthew 3:11-12
This is another New
Testament fulfillment of this prediction: “For this is he of whom
it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare
your way before You.’ “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of
women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is
least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. “And from the days of John
the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent
take it by force. “For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. “
“And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. “He who has
ears to hear, let him hear! Matthew 11:10-15
Another Prediction of
Elijah [John the Baptist] Being Sent Before Jesus
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before
the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: Zechariah 4:5
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: The
beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in
the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will
prepare Your way before You.” “The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight’ “ John came
baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the
remission of sins. Mark 1:1-4
Your watchmen shall lift up
their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see
eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion. Break forth into joy, sing together,
You waste place of Jerusalem! For the Lord has comforted His people, He has
redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has made bare His holy arm In the eyes of all the
nations: and all the ends of the earth shall see The salvation of our God. Isaiah 52:8-10
New Testament proof this
prediction has been fulfilled: And he [John the Baptist] went into all the region around the Jordan,
preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins, as it is written
in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one
crying in the wilderness; ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths
straight. Every valley shall be filled And every mountain and hill brought low;
The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth; And all
flesh shall see the salvation of God.’ “ Luke 3:3-6 and more proof of fulfillment is also in…
“But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I
say to you, and more than a prophet. “This is he of whom it is written:
‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before
You.” Luke 7:26-27

The
Devil Unsuccessfully Trying to Tempt Jesus:
Prediction that the Angels
Could Protect Jesus & Jesus, Son of God, Would Overcome the Devil (Serpent)
For He shall give His
angels charge over Thee, to keep Thee in all Thy ways. They shall bear Thee up
in their hands, lest Thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon
the lion and adder: the young lion and the [serpent] shalt Thou trample under
feet. Psalm 91:11-13
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle
of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself
down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In
their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash Your foot against a stone.’
Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You
shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ “ Matthew 4:5-7

Jesus Speaking in Parables:
Predicting Jesus Will Speak
in Parables & Share What Has Been Passed Down Over the Generations
And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but
do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of
this people dull, and their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with
their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return
and be healed.” Isaiah 6:9-10
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: But when He was alone, those around Him with the
twelve asked Him about the parable. And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but
to those who are outside, all things come in parables, ‘so that Seeing they may
see and not perceive And hearing they may hear and not understand; Lest they
should turn, And their sins be forgiven them.’ “ And He said to them, “Do you
not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?” Mark 4:10-13
Another Old Testament
Prediction of Jesus Talking in Parables
Give ear, O My people, to
My law: incline your ears to the words of My mouth. I will open My mouth in
a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: Which we have heard and known, and
our fathers have told us. Psalm 78:1-3
New Testament Proof of Prediction fulfillment: All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in
parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in
parables; I will utter things kept secret from the foundation of the world.” Matthew 13:34-35

Jesus’s
Transfiguration Predicted:
“I watched till thrones were put in place, And
the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair
of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a
burning fire; Daniel 7:9
The New Testament
fulfillment of this prediction: Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and
John, and led them up on a high mountain apart by themselves; and He [Jesus]
was transfigured before them. His clothes became shining, exceedingly white,
like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them. Mark 9:2-3
Foretold
of Elijah Coming Before Jesus’ Crucifixion and Jesus Predicting His Own
Death to His Disciples:
Behold, I will send you
Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. Malachi 4:5
This is the New Testament
passage fulfilling this prophecy: Then He answered and told them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all
things. And how is it written concerning the Son of Man, that He must suffer
many things and be treated with contempt? “But I say to you that Elijah has
also come [John the Baptist], and they did to him whatever they wished, as it
is written of him.” Mark
9:12-13
Palm
Sunday:
Predicting
Jesus Riding into Town on Palm Sunday 100’s of Years Before He Was Ever Born
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter
of Jerusalem: behold thy King cometh unto thee: He is just, and having
salvation: lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and
the battle bow shall be cut off: and He shall speak peace unto the heathen:
and His dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the
ends of the earth. Zechariah 9:9-10
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought
the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a
very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches
from trees and spread them on the road. The multitudes who went before and those
who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the son of David! ‘Blessed is He
who comes in the name of the Lord’ Hosanna in the highest! Matthew 21:6-9

Conspiring Against Jesus:
Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch
as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But
have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught
by the commandment of men. Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work
Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their
wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be
hidden.” Isaiah 29:13-14
New Testament proof this
prediction has been fulfilled: “Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophecy about you, saying: ‘These
people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, But
their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines
the commandments of men. “ ‘when He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but
what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” Matthew 15:7-11
Also: Matthew 17:22-23 Jesus
told His disciples this before it ever happened: Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to
them, “The Son of Man is about to
be betrayed into the hands of men, “and they will kill Him, and the third day
He will be raised up,” And
they were exceedingly sorrowful.

Betrayal of Jesus:
Predicting that Judas would
Betray Him
And I said unto them, If ye
think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed
for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord said unto me, cast it
unto the potter: a goodly price that I was [priced] of them. And I took the
thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord. Zechariah 11:12-13
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to
bury strangers in. Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to
this day. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet,
saying, “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the value of Him who was
priced, whom they of the children of Israel priced, “and gave them for the
potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.” Matthew 27:7-10
Yea, Mine own familiar
friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of My bread, hath lifted up his heel against
Me. Psalm 41:9
This
is More than just New Testament Proof of fulfillment, because this particular
Bible passage shows full well, Jesus knows full well He is going to be betrayed
by Judas. Who else could do that, but God’s Son, Jesus? : When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in spirit, and
testified and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.” Then the disciples looked at one another, perplexed
about whom He spoke. Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples
whom Jesus loved. Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to ask who it was of
whom He spoke. Then, leaning
back on Jesus’ breast, he said to Him, “Lord, who is it?” Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I
have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas
Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him.
Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.” But no one at the table knew
for what reason He said this to him. For some thought, because Judas had the
money box, that Jesus had said to him, “Buy those things we need for the feast,
“ or that he should give something to the poor. Having received the piece of bread,
he then went out immediately, And it was night. John 13:21-30
More New Testament Proof of
the Prediction being fulfilled: And while He [Jesus] was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the
twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief
priests and elders of the people. Now His betrayer had given them a sign,
saying “Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him.” Immediately he went up to
Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” and kissed Him. But Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have you come?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him. Matthew 26:47-50
You have put away My
acquaintances far from Me; You have made Me an abomination to them; I am shutup, and I cannot get out; Psalm 88:8
The New Testament
fulfillment of that prediction right after Judas betrayed Jesus and the
soldiers came to get Him: Then they [the disciples] all forsook Him and fled. Mark 14:50
Faithful are the wounds of
a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Proverbs 27:6
“Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.” And immediately, while He [Jesus] was still speaking, Judas, one of the
twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief
priests and the scribes and the elders. Now His betrayer had given them a
signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him and lead Him away
safely.” As soon as he had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him,
“Rabbi, Rabbi!” and kissed Him. Then they laid their hands on Him and took Him. Mark 14:42-46

Trial and Torture of Jesus:
This Predicts that the
Enemies of Jesus Will Conspire Against Him & Make False Accusations
Let not them that are mine
enemies wrongfully rejoice over Me: neither let them wink with the eye that
hate Me without a cause. For they speak not peace: for they devise deceitful
matters against them that are quiet in the land. Yea they opened their mouth
wide against Me, and said, aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. Psalm 35:19-21
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false
testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. Even though many
false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false
witnesses came forward and said, “This fellow said, “I am able to destroy the
temple of God and to build it in three days.’ “And the high priest arose and
said to Him, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?”
But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, “I put You
under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the son of God!”
Jesus said unto him, “It is as you said.
Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at
the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy!
What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His
blasphemy! Matthew 26:59-65
“I was watching in the night visions, And
behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to
the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was
given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and
languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which
shall not pass away, and His kingdom the one[,] Which shall not be destroyed.
Daniel 7:13-14
The New Testament
fulfillment of this prophecy: Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world, If My kingdom
were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered
to the Jews: but now My kingdom is not from here.” John 18:36
Those who hate Me without a
cause Are more than the hairs of My head; They are mighty who would destroy Me,
Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it. Psalm 69:4 and also
They have also surrounded
Me with words of hatred, And fought against Me without a cause. In return for
My love they are My accusers, But I give Myself to Prayer. Thus they have
rewarded Me evil for good, And hatred for My love. Psalm 109:3-5
This is the New Testament
fulfillment of these two prophecies: “But this happened that
the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me
without a cause.” John
15:25
Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And
the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed
saying, let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away their cords from us.” Psalm 2:1-3
The New Testament Proof of
this prediction being fulfilled: So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord
and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all
that is in them, ‘who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘Why did
the nations rage, And the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took
their stand And the rulers were gathered together Against the Lord and against
His Christ.’ “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,
both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel were
gathered together “to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before
to be done. Acts 4:24-28
Predicts That Jesus Will Be
Beat and Spit Upon Before They Crucify Him
The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not
rebellious, neither turned away back. I gave My back to the smitters, and My
cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not My face from shame and
spitting. For the Lord God will help Me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I
set My face like flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:6-7
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: Then released he Barabas unto them: and when he
had scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified. Then the soldiers of the
governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band
of soldiers. And they stripped Him, and put on Him a scarlet robe. And when
they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in
His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying,
Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon Him, and took the reed, and smote
Him on the head. And after that they had mocked Him, they took the robe off
from Him, and put His own raiment on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.
Matthew 27:26-31
The Lord God has opened My
ear; And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away. I gave My back to those
who struck Me, And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide
My face from shame and spitting. Isaiah 50:5-6
The New Testament
fulfillment of this prediction: Now the men who held Jesus mocked Him and beat Him. And having
blindfolded Him, they struck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, “prophecy!
Who is the one who struck You?” Luke 22:63-64
During
Crucifixion:
Predicting That Jesus Will
Have Wounds in His Hands at His Crucifixion
And one shall say unto Him, What are these wounds
in Thine hands? Then He shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the
house of my friends. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the
man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of Hosts: smite the shepherd, and the
sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn Mine hand upon the little ones. And
it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein
shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will
bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is
refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, I will
hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God. Zechariah 13:6-9
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: After eight days His disciples were again inside, and
Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst,
and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here;
and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My lord and my God!” Jesus said to
him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have
believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:26-29
Predicts The Piercing of
Jesus' Hands & Feet When They Nailed Him on the Cross
For dogs have compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked
have surrounded Me: they pierced My hands and My feet. Psalm 22:16
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in
the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed
they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? “Behold My
hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see for a spirit does not
have flesh and bones as you see I have.” When He had said this, he showed them
His hands and His feet. Luke 24:36--40
100’s
of years before Jesus was Born, It was predicted What Jesus would Say on the
Cross When He Died for Our Redemption:
My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me? Why art Thou so far from helping Me, and from the
words of My roaring? Psalm
22:1
New Testament Proof this
verse was fulfilled is in Matthew 27:45-46: Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was
darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a
loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama
sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Predicting What Viewers
Said While Jesus Hung on the Cross for Our Redemption
All they that see Me laugh
on me to scorn: thy shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted
on the Lord that He would deliver Him: let Him deliver Him, seeing he delighted
in Him. Psalm 22:7-8
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging
their heads and say, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,
say Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” Likewise
the chief priests also mocking with the scribes and elders, said, He saved
others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come
down from the cross, and we will believe Him. “He trusted in God; let Him deliver
Him now, if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’” Even
the robbers who were crucified with Him reviled Him with the same thing. Matthew 27:39-43
Predicts the Torment & Thirst
of Jesus Before His Death on Cross for Our Sins
I am poured out like water, and all My bones are out
of joint; My heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of My bowels. My
strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue cleaveth to My jaws; and
Thou hast brought me into the dust of death. Psalm 22: 14-15
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished,
that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour
wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine was sitting
there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to
His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19: 28-30
Predicting Bystanders Would
Divide Jesus' Clothes & Cast Lots for His Coat
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon
My vesture. Psalm 22:18
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments,
casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: “They
divided My garments among them. And for My clothing they cast lots.” Matthew 27:35
Predicting Jesus Will Be
Given Gall & Vinegar on the Cross, Which They Did
They gave Me gall for My meat; and in My thirst they
gave Me vinegar to drink. Psalm 69:21
New Testament Proof of the Prediction fulfillment: And when they had come to a place called Golgotha,
that is to say, Place of a Skull, they gave Him [Jesus] sour wine mingled
with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. Matthew 27:33-34
Prediction
of Jesus, Although Innocent, Quietly Accepting Torture & Death with
Transgressors to Save Us from Our Sins:
Who hath believed our
report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For He shall grow up
before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no
form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we
should desire Him. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows,
and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was
despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely He hath borne our
griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He
was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and
with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we
have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the
iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He
opened not His mouth; He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a
sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth. He was taken
from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was
cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people
was He stricken. And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the
rich in His death: Because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in
His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He put Him to grief: when
thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong
His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall
see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall
my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the
spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and
He was numbered with the transgressors: and He bare the sin of many, and made
intercession of the transgressors. Isaiah 53:1-12
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He
answered nothing. Then Pilate said to Him, “Do you not hear how many things
they testify against You? But He answered him not one word, so that the
governor marveled greatly. Matthew 27:12-14
Predicting Jesus'
Crucifixion Many Years Before His Birth
And I will pour upon the
house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and
of supplications: and they shall look upon Me Whom they have pierced, and
they shall mourn for Him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in
bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. Zechariah 12:10
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a
sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus
had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” and bowing His head, He
gave up His spirit. Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the
bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a
high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they
might be taken away. Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and
of the other who was crucified with Him. But when they came to Jesus and saw
that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers
pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he
who has seen has testified and his testimony is true: and he knows that he is
telling the truth, so that you may believe. For these things were done that the
Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” And
again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.” John 19:29-37
This Predicts that When
Jesus Died on the Cross, None of His Bones Were Broken
He keepeth all His bones:
not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be
desolate. Psalm 34:20-21
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other
who was crucified with Him. When they came to Jesus and saw that He was
already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His
side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he who
has seen has testified and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is
telling the truth, so that you may believe. John 19:32-35
As with a breaking of my
bones, My enemies reproach Me, While they say to me all day long, “Where is
your God?” Psalm 42:10
New Testament proof of this
passage being fulfilled: Then
Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is
destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will
be spoken against “(yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul
also), that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2:34-35
Prediction About Jesus
Becoming the Head Stone of the Corner that the Builders Refused
I will praise Thee: for
Thou hast heard Me, and art become my Salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become
the head stone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our
eyes. Psalm 118:21-23
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: Jesus saith unto them, “Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders
rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing,
and it is marvellous in our eyes?” Matthew 21:42

After Jesus’ Crucifixion:
Isaiah predicted about
Jesus’ grave 100’s of years before Jesus was Crucified
And they made His grave
with the wicked-but with the rich at His death, Because He had done no
violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Isaiah 53:9
After this, Joseph of
Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked
Pilate that He might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him
permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. And Nicodemus, who at
first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes,
about a hundred pounds. Then they took the body of Jesus and bound it in strips
of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury. Now in the
place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb
in which no one had yet been laid. So there they laid Jesus, because of the
Jews’ Preparation Day, for the tomb was nearby.John 19:38-42
This Predicts Jesus Will
Not Decompose After His Death [That's Because He Rises on the Third Day]
But God will redeem My
soul from the power of the grave: for He shall receive Me. Selah. Psalm 49:15
New Testament Proof of the
Prediction fulfillment: [Cleopas and a friend talk with our risen Savior,
although they don’t realize it, while on the way to Emmaus] ‘But we were hoping that it was He who was going to
redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these
things happened. “Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the
tomb early, astonished us. “When they did not find His body, they came saying
that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. “And certain
of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had
said; but Him they did not see.” Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and
slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! “Ought not
the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory/” And
beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, he expounded to them in all the
Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Luke 24:21-27
Predicting Jesus Wouldn't
Suffer Corruption [in other words, His body wouldn’t rot!]
For Thou wilt not leave My soul in hell; neither
wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption. Psalm 16:10
The fulfillment of this
verse is in John 20:25-29 The other disciples therefore said to him
[Thomas], We have seen the Lord.” So
he [Thomas] said to them, unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and
put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I
will not believe.” And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and
Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and
said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here,
and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas
answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas,
because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not
seen and yet have believed.”
For great is Your mercy
toward Me, And You have delivered My soul from the depths of Sheol.
[another name for Hell]

proof of fulfillment of this prediction: “Men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of
Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which
God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know- “Him being
delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by
lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; “whom God raised up, having
loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held
by it. “For David says concerning Him: ‘I foresaw the Lord always before my
face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. Therefore my heart
rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope. For
You will not leave My soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see
corruption. You have made known to Me the ways of life; You will make me
full of joy in Your presence.’ “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of
the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us
to this day. “Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He
would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, “he, forseeing this, spoke
concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades,
nor did His flesh see corruption. “This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. “Therefore
being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the
promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. “For
David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: ‘The Lord said to
my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this
Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now when they heard this,
they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men
and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent and let every
one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins:
and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. “For the promise is to
you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our
God will call.” Acts 2:25-39
After Jesus’ Resurrection
“On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of
David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its
ruins And rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant
of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name.” Says the Lord who
does this thing. Amos
9:11-12
The New Testament proof of
this prediction being fulfilled: “And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
‘After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which
has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set I up; So that the
rest of mankind may seek the Lord Even all the Gentiles who are called by My
name, Says the Lord who does all these things.’ Acts 15:15-18 also in
But when the Jews saw the
multitudes, they were filled with envy, and contradicting and blaspheming, they
opposed the things spoken by Paul. Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said,
“It was necessary that the world of God should be spoken to you first; but
since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold,
we turn to the Gentiles. “For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as
a light to the gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the
earth.’ “ Now when the Gentiles heard this they were glad and glorified the
word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. Acts 13:45-48
The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” Psalm 110:1
New Testament Proof of this
prediction being fulfilled: Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you,
which also you received in which you stand, by which you are saved, if you hold
fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I
delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died
for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He
rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by
Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred
brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some
have fallen asleep [died]. After that He was seen of James, then by all the
apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of
due time. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8
[Jesus Christ was called by
many names: Stem of Jesse, Righteous Branch, Star out of Jacob, The Lord Our
Righteousness, Light of the Gentiles, The Truth, The Way, Blessed Be Lord God,
Shepherd, Son of God, Man of Sorrows, Holy One, True Light, Son of Man,
Messiah, Immanuel, Blessed, Messiah the Prince, Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty
God, The Prince of Peace, and King and that just covers the Old Testament
verses I am analyzing.]
[Next, was Jesus Christ the
Son of God? New Testament Proof: It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from
Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately,
coming up from the water, He [John the Baptist] saw the heavens parting and the
Spirit descending upon Him [Jesus] like a dove. Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Mark 1:9-11]
[This is an overview of the
things that the Messiah was supposed to do: with righteousness He shall judge
the poor and reprove with equity the meek of the earth, execute judgment and
justice in the earth, heal the blind, the lame, the deaf, was to be born of a
Virgin, foretold His betrayal, death, and resurrection, was to preach good
tidings to the meek and proclaim liberty to the captive, and comfort all that
mourn, just to name a few of the things He was supposed to do. Did Jesus Christ
do these things that were predicted about Him?]
[I will just include a few
of the passages that attest to Jesus Christ fulfilling these prophecies. I’ve
shared the bulk of the passages with you already. And when John [the Baptist] had heard in prison about
the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to Him [Jesus], “Are
You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” Jesus answered and said to
them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and
see; “The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf
hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
“And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Matthew 11: 2-6, All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a
parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by the prophet, saying: “I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things
kept secret from the foundation of the world.” Matthew 13:34-35, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has
anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the
blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable
year of the Lord.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the
attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed
on Him. And He [Jesus] began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:17-21, And in
Matthew 17:22-23 Jesus told His disciples this before it ever happened: Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to
them, “The Son of Man is about to
be betrayed into the hands of men, “and they will kill Him, and the third day
He will be raised up,” And
they were exceedingly sorrowful. Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the
gospel which I preached to you, which also you received in which you stand, by
which you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless
you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also
received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that
He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He
was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part
remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep [died]. After that He was
seen of James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me
also, as by one born out of due time. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8]
[Think about it. How Could
the Exact Things Done to Jesus, be Predicted 100+ Years Before His Birth, if it
weren't for God the Father's Having Prophets Write These Predictions down to Be
Included in the Bible? God knew that some would doubt, so He left us Biblical
evidence, so We Know Jesus is Truly the Son of God by Fulfilling These
Predictions! I wanted to share this Biblical evidence with you. Feel free
